The legendary Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has announced a significant addition to its executive leadership team, naming Parisian-born Edouard Lapasset as its new Hotel Manager. Stepping into one of the world’s most prestigious hospitality addresses, Lapasset brings a brilliant track record of ultra-luxury leadership and a deeply human-centric vision to the iconic property.

A Stellar Trajectory Through the Luxury Sector

Lapasset’s appointment at the George V marks a triumphant continuation of a career defined by precision, operational excellence, and international experience. A graduate of the École Hôtelière de Paris with an MBA in Hospitality Administration Management, his journey began in 2009 within guest relations at the Hilton Arc de Triomphe.

Seeking a complete mastery of hotel operations, he moved into the demanding world of Rooms Division and housekeeping leadership at the Hôtel du Collectionneur, refining his eye for detail and command over human dynamics.

His career soon went international, spending over five years with Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, where he climbed from Assistant Front Office Manager to Director of Rooms. He then pivoted to the Middle East, playing a vital role in the high-profile opening of Mandarin Oriental, Doha. Most recently, Lapasset returned to his hometown of Paris, serving as Hotel Manager and subsequently being promoted to General Manager at Mandarin Oriental, Paris, before accepting this latest challenge with the Four Seasons family.

A Philosophy Rooted in Human Connection

Managing a grand palace hotel requires balancing grand strategy with microscopic details. For Lapasset, the secret to achieving this balance lies entirely within the property’s 650-strong team. His management philosophy treats luxury not as a static environment, but as a collective emotional experience.

“Beyond the property itself, it is above all the women and men who bring it to life that inspire me. Our employees are the very essence of service… Without their expertise, dedication, and energy, no genuine emotion can be created for our guests. I firmly believe that success can only be collective; this is my guiding principle. And because everything begins with human connection, I like to say that my office is the lobby.” — Edouard Lapasset, Hotel Manager

Elevating an Icon

This approach aligns seamlessly with the ethos of the George V, an address globally revered for defining the pinnacle of French art de vivre.

“We are delighted to welcome Edouard to Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris,” noted Thibaut Drege, General Manager of the historic property. “His career path, high standards, and deep sense of hospitality resonate naturally with the DNA of our Maison. We are confident that, together with his teams, he will continue to elevate the influence of our iconic address and help write its next chapter.”

As the George V continues to capture the hearts of the modern elite, Lapasset’s energy and lobby-first leadership are set to preserve and enhance the hotel’s radiant global legacy.
