The Park Hyatt London River Thames has officially announced the appointment of Eike Clausen as its new General Manager. Bringing nearly two decades of international luxury hospitality experience, Clausen steps into the role with a proven track record across four continents, eight countries, and nine hotels. His expertise spans operational excellence, commercial leadership, and people development.

A Wealth of International Experience

Before taking the helm at Park Hyatt London River Thames, Clausen served as the cluster general manager for the Kempinski Palace Portorož in Slovenia and the Kempinski Hotel Adriatic in Savudrija, Croatia. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for driving commercial performance while maintaining high standards of service.

Furthermore, Clausen spent a significant portion of his career climbing the ranks within Kempinski Hotels. Initially, he held senior leadership positions in sales and marketing, rooms division, and executive management. Eventually, he secured his first general manager role at the Kempinski Hotel Aqaba in Jordan.

Education and Leadership Philosophy

An alumnus of the prestigious École hôtelière de Lausanne, Clausen began his dynamic hospitality career as a sales trainee. Consequently, this foundational background in sales heavily influences his leadership approach today.

His leadership philosophy centers on service excellence and continuous innovation. Moreover, he maintains a strong focus on balancing commercial success with a personalized guest experience.

A Vision for the Future

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Clausen shared his perspective on joining the iconic brand.

“I am honoured to join Hyatt and Park Hyatt London River Thames at such an exciting time,” Clausen said. “The Park Hyatt brand is synonymous with refined luxury and personalised service, and I look forward to working alongside the talented team to continue delivering exceptional experiences for our guests while building on the hotel’s strong reputation in London.”

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Clausen remains dedicated to the future of the hospitality industry. Specifically, he regularly contributes his expertise through guest lecturing at his alma mater, École hôtelière de Lausanne, mentoring the next generation of hospitality leaders.
