Global hospitality powerhouse Accor has announced a major addition to its executive leadership team, appointing Laurent Choain as its new Global Chief People & Culture Officer.
Taking effect from 1 April 2026, Choain steps into this critical global role as a member of the Group Management Board. In tandem with his global responsibilities, he will also serve on the Premium, Midscale & Economy Executive Committee, positioning him at the absolute centre of the group’s cultural and operational future.

Choain brings more than 30 years of high-level, international human resources leadership to Accor. His career is defined by a deep expertise in human capital development, organizational transformation, and the curation of world-class corporate cultures.

Kempinski Hotels & Resorts: Solidifying his deep understanding of the unique luxury and premium hospitality landscapes.

Corporate Education Pioneers: Choain is widely recognised for his pioneering work in designing and leading corporate universities and management education initiatives alongside global industry leaders.
Academically, Choain holds a PhD in Management Sciences from Université Paris Panthéon Assas, complemented by Master’s degrees from Paris Panthéon Sorbonne and Neoma Business School. He also actively contributes to the broader global management community through advisory and board roles at the EFMD, Bologna Business School, and the Peter Drucker Society of Europe.
