I spent hours on the wing chair by the window corner, watching the river below. The spacious suite also features a walk-in closet, inviting king bed, and a well-stocked bar complete with a beautiful Japanese cast iron teapot.

The journey began with Torched Sirloin Sushi paired with a sweet Awaji Island onion soy sauce, followed by a comforting “Nikusui” soup featuring Shiga Omi Beef. The seafood course—Akashi Sea Bream and Clams in a Senshu lemon butter sauce—was remarkably fresh. The star, however, was the Shiga Omi Beef Sirloin served Hobayaki-style on a magnolia leaf with Arima Sansho pepper miso.

Between courses, a Conrad Osaka Tea and Sakura Sorbet cleansed the palate perfectly. We concluded with a tender Shiga Omi Beef Fillet, seasoned with wasabi and Aomori garlic, and the signature Garlic Fried Rice made with Kyotango Koshihikari rice. Thanks to Conrad Osaka’s strategic location, I was just three kilometers away from the historic Osaka Castle. It was a beautiful, easy stroll from the hotel to the castle grounds, which were transformed into a pink wonderland with full-bloom cherry blossoms. The atmosphere was festive and lively, featuring a local Japanese market pop-up nestled under the trees. I couldn’t resist a delicious chocolate dorayaki featuring a charming Doraemon stamp—it was so kawaii! Walking through the falling petals with a sweet treat in hand was the quintessential Osaka Hanami experience.

A more vibrant atmosphere in the morning, ATMOS DINING provided an incredible spread. The breakfast buffet is extensive, offering a seamless blend of Eastern and Western cuisines. From freshly baked pastries and tropical fruits to traditional Japanese confections, the variety is staggering.

However, the real standouts are the a la carte items that you can order fresh from the kitchen. I highly recommend the Okonomiyaki Benedict, a brilliant fusion dish that pays homage to Osaka’s soul food with a sophisticated twist. The Free-Range WABISUKE Poached Egg was equally impressive—perfectly cooked with a rich, golden yolk. To round it out, “Today’s morning noodle” provided a warm, savory comfort that changed daily. The open-kitchen concept and the energetic “Atmos” make this one of the best breakfast experiences in Japan, all while maintaining those signature 40th-floor views.
