Mandarin Oriental, Paris is poised to redefine contemporary Parisian luxury. The ultra-luxury address has announced the appointment of Vincent Poulingue as its new General Manager, stepping into the role alongside the unveiling of an ambitious, property-wide transformation programme.

World-Class Leadership at the Helm

Vincent Poulingue brings over two decades of international luxury hospitality expertise to the Rue Saint-Honoré landmark. He joins the property from the historic Hôtel du Palais Biarritz. With an MBA in International Hospitality Management from IMHI (Cornell University–ESSEC Business School), Poulingue’s career spans notable leadership tenures with Hyatt’s The Unbound Collection, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Barrière Group across France, Portugal, Switzerland, and French Polynesia.

Widely respected for his ability to successfully reposition heritage properties, Poulingue’s international perspective matches Mandarin Oriental’s core philosophy of blending global brand prestige with local cultural authenticity.

Seamless Continuity for Guests

Luxury travellers planning a visit to the French capital can rest easy. While the extensive transformation is set to begin at the end of October 2026, operations will continue uninterrupted.

The works are strategically planned in carefully orchestrated, phased rollouts. This thoughtful approach ensures the hotel remains fully operational throughout, preserving Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service standards and allowing guests to experience the property with minimal disruption.

“This transformation programme represents a significant investment in the property, ensuring it continues to deliver exceptional experiences rooted in the spirit of Paris.” — Laurent Kleitman, Group Chief Executive of Mandarin Oriental

This grand project aligns with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s wider ten-year growth strategy, demonstrating a long-term commitment to evolving its core luxury portfolio in the world’s most culturally significant destinations.
