First Impression
My first impression at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore was absolutely breathtaking! As soon as I entered the lobby, my eyes were drawn to the magnificent “Cornucopia” artwork, suspended gracefully from the ceiling. This stunning piece is just one of the 4,200 artworks and sculptures adorning the hotel, truly setting a grand tone. As a Club Suite guest, I was then wonderfully escorted to a private check-in experience on the highest floor, adding an exclusive touch to my arrival. Every detail, from the art to the personalized service, immediately conveyed an unparalleled sense of luxury and sophistication. Truly a memorable welcome!
The Club Premier Suite – A Room with a 360-Degree Soul
I stayed in the Club Premier Suite, a sprawling 72-square-meter (762-square-foot) corner sanctuary that feels more like a luxury residence than a hotel suite. Because it’s a corner unit, the suite offers a dual perspective: the high-octane energy of Marina Bay on one side and the graceful arc of the Singapore Flyer on the other.
The suite is intelligently divided into a separate bedroom and an inviting living area, perfect for lounging with a book or hosting a quick afternoon meeting. But let’s be honest—the true heart of this suite is the marble bathroom.
It is home to what is arguably the most famous window in Singapore: the iconic octagonal window. There is nothing quite like drawing a bath in the deep soaking tub as the sun sets. As the Singapore Flyer begins to light up and turn against the glittering city skyline, the bathroom transforms into a private gallery. It’s a meditative, “pinch-me” moment that defines the Millenia Singapore experience.

The Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge – A Hotel Within a Hotel
If the suite is your sanctuary, the Club Lounge is your living room. Located on the top floor, this exclusive space redefines Marina Bay luxury by offering a level of personalized service that feels increasingly rare.
The Lounge is accessible 24 hours a day, allowing you to find a quiet corner to work or simply gaze at the skyline at 3:00 a.m. if the mood strikes. The Club Concierge team is available from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. to handle everything from restaurant reservations to flight changes.
The real draw, however, is the five culinary presentations served daily. You could quite literally spend your entire day here:
-
Breakfast: (6:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. weekdays; until 11:00 a.m. weekends)
-
Mid-day Snacks: (12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
-
Afternoon Tea: (2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.) – A must-do for the scones alone.
-
Hors d’oeuvres & Cocktails: (5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)
-
Dessert & Cordials: (8:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.)
Luxurious Breakfast at Colony - A Culinary Voyage
While the Club Lounge breakfast is intimate, one morning you must head down to Colony. This isn’t just a breakfast buffet; it is a “Journey Through Asian Food Cultures.”
The design pays homage to the late 18th century when the British traveled to the East Indies for trade. This story is told through seven open kitchens, each a stage for a different culinary tradition. I found myself wandering between the steam of the Chinese dim sum station, the aromatic spices of the Indian kitchen, and the rich, savory offerings of the Malaysian and Indonesian stations. Of course, Western classics are available, but the joy of Colony is starting your day with a perfectly crafted laksa or a warm piece of naan, celebrating the melting pot that is Singapore.
Aperitif Hour at Republic Bar
As evening falls, there is no better place to be than Republic Bar. Ranked among Asia’s best bars, it channels the glamour of the 1960s. This award-winning aperitif bar, celebrated by Asia’s 50 Best Bars and Tatler, truly elevates the evening.
I highly recommend the Aperitivo Menu, which is the gold standard for unwinding. It includes 120 minutes of unlimited pours, featuring a curated selection of:
-
Wines: Elegant Reds, Whites, and chilled Champagne.
-
Cocktails: Classics like the Negroni, the refreshing Garibaldi, and a crisp Highball.
-
Beer: Ice-cold Tiger beer for a local touch.
To accompany the drinks, you’re served a Gourmet Tapas Plate featuring artisanal canapés, premium cheeses, and charcuterie. It is the perfect bridge between a day of exploring and a night on the town.
Ritz Carlton Spa Suite
To truly round out the stay, a visit to The Ritz-Carlton Spa is essential. It is the first luxury spa in Southeast Asia to partner with EPICUTIS®, a science-driven skincare brand that focuses on clinical results and a “radiant glow.”
I opted for the Signature Massage Experience within the Spa Suite, and it was transformative. The suite offers a level of privacy and space that makes the outside world disappear. Combining traditional holistic techniques with the forefront of skincare innovation (and the bespoke ESPA body therapies), the treatment left me feeling entirely reset. If you’ve been battling jet lag or the humidity of the city, this is the cure.
