This year’s Chinese New Year celebration will take place on Monday 4th February as a reunion dinner. A reunion dinner takes place on the eve of Chinese New Year, and is often spent with family, especially for those with family members away from home. It is considered the most important get-together meal of the year. During the celebratory dinner, guests will be entertained by a traditional lion dance, a calligrapher to write good luck wishes, be given noise makers to ward of β€˜nian’ or evil spirits and receive red pocket Chinese horoscopes for the Year of the Pig ahead.
