This summer, Thesleff Group , the hospitality collective behind iconic destinations like Los Mochis, Sale e Pepe, and LUNA Omakase, has officially unveiled Sale e Pepe Terrazza at The Langham, London. Launching this July for the 2026 summer season, this exclusive pop-up transforms the hotel’s historic courtyard into a sanctuary of Italian Riviera elegance, marking a sophisticated new addition to the West End’s dining landscape.
A Historic Secret Garden
The terrace occupies a remarkable space within the heart of The Langham, boasting a history that dates back to the mid-eighteenth century. Spanning over 5,000 square feet, it is recognized as one of the largest and oldest private restaurant terraces in Central London.
To bring this vision to life, Thesleff Group partnered with renowned Italian outdoor living brand Unopiù. The resulting design reimagines the courtyard through the lens of contemporary Italian living, blending timeless elegance with a relaxed, alfresco aesthetic that feels worlds away from the urban pace of the city gates.

An Italian Summer Experience
Sale e Pepe Terrazza is designed as an all-day destination that encourages guests to slow down and embrace the rhythm of the Italian summer. Whether hosting clients for lunch, enjoying an afternoon escape, or gathering friends for sunset aperitivos, the atmosphere is centered on connection, conversation, and the “simple luxury” of time well spent.
The menu captures the effortless spirit of coastal Italy, featuring dishes perfect for sharing and lingering. Highlights include:
-
Authentic Italian Fare: A selection of London’s finest pizzas, seasonal salads, and traditional cicchetti.
-
Sweet Treats: Indulgent soft-serve ice cream to round out the experience.
The Aperitivo Programme
At the heart of the Terrazza is a bespoke drinks programme led by Thesleff Group Director of Bars, Pietro Collina. The centrepiece is a striking ST-GERMAIN bar installation designed to bring the rituals of the Italian Riviera to London.
The menu is a celebration of seasonal spritzes, including the ST-GERMAIN Spritz (The Hugo) and the Porto Cervo Spritz—which features a unique ‘melonade’ twist. Guests can also explore a curated wine list, frozen cocktails like the Spicy Watermelon Margarita, and a selection of zero-ABV options.
Sale e Pepe Terrazza offers a rare opportunity to experience a dedicated garden escape in the heart of London, but only for a limited time. As the season progresses, this hidden courtyard remains the premier destination for those seeking to capture the charm of outdoor Italian dining.
At the heart of the concept is a celebration of the Italian outdoor lifestyle. Furnished exclusively with pieces from Unopiù , the terrace reflects the brand’s enduring philosophy that outdoor spaces should be as elegant and inviting as those within the home. For more than four decades Unopiù has defined Italian outdoor living through its craftsmanship, timeless aesthetic and ability to create beautiful environments for gathering, entertaining and relaxation.
Markus Thesleff, Founder and CEO of Thesleff Group, said:
“Time is the new luxury. Hospitality is about creating memories and making people happy, and that’s exactly what we’ve created with Sale e Pepe Terrazza. Inspired by the spirit of the Italian coast, it’s a place to slow down, come together and enjoy long lunches, aperitivos and summer evenings in the heart of London.”
The launch of Sale e Pepe Terrazza marks the latest chapter for Sale e Pepe Mare, the coastal Italian restaurant that opened at The Langham, London earlier this year. Bringing together the heritage of the iconic Sale e Pepe brand with the flavours and spirit of Italy’s coastline, the restaurant has quickly established itself as one of London’s most exciting new dining destinations.
Combining Italian design, horticultural artistry and one of London’s most extraordinary hidden outdoor spaces, Sale e Pepe Terrazza is set to become one of the capital’s most sought-after summer destinations.
Sale e Pepe Terrazza opens on 18th July 2026.
The terrace is accessed by a private entrance on Cavendish Place:
