Standing tall on the edge of the City, overlooking the ancient Tower of London and the iconic Tower Bridge, is Ten Trinity Square. Once the headquarters of the Port of London Authority, this Grade II* listed landmark is now home to the Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge, and I recently had the pleasure of calling one of its elite residences my home.

If you are looking for an experience that transcends a standard hotel stay and enters the realm of “stately home” living, this is it.

First Impression

Stefano Malachi Four Seasons Tower Bridge

Just stepped into the magnificent Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge and my first impression was absolutely grand! The sheer scale of the architecture, with its soaring high ceilings and impressive pillars within the lobby, immediately captivated me. What made it even more special was that it was the same week as the British Wimbledon season, and the hotel’s subtle yet elegant decorations perfectly captured the excitement. It felt like stepping into a luxurious and quintessentially British sanctuary, blending timeless design with the vibrant spirit of London’s summer. Truly an unforgettable welcome!

The pinnacle of British ultra-luxury at the Two-Bedroom Hotel Residence

London hotel rooms are notoriously “cozy” (read: small). However, the Villa and Residences here redefine the concept of space. Spanning between 208 to 227  on the fourth and fifth floors, these are not just suites; they are expansive urban sanctuaries.

The design is a love letter to British sophistication. Walking through the open-concept living and dining areas, you are struck by the height of the ceilings and the floods of natural light. The centerpiece of the lounge is a cozy bio-ethanol fireplace, which provides that quintessential London warmth without the soot. For those who enjoy the ritual of a home-cooked meal (or perhaps hiring a private chef), the kitchen is a dream, fully equipped with premium Gaggenau appliances.

The 2 Bedroom Hotel Residences with two king-sized beds and two full marble bathrooms, it felt like having a private apartment in the heart of the world’s most vibrant financial district. It is the kind of space that makes you want to cancel your afternoon plans just to sit by the fire with a book.

English Landmark Champagne Breakfast

There is a specific kind of magic in a slow London morning. Waking up in the quiet luxury of the residence, the city feels like it belongs to you. To elevate this, I opted for the English Landmark Breakfast with Champagne, served directly in my private dining room by in-room dining team.

This is the ultimate “privacy flex.” Instead of navigating a busy breakfast room, a beautifully set table appeared in my residence at my chosen time. Each morning began with a glass of perfectly chilled bubbly and an array of culinary delights—from golden pastries to a flawlessly executed Full English. Enjoying a private breakfast ritual while looking out over the London skyline is a dream I wasn’t quite ready to wake up from.

Mei Ume

When you want a break from traditional British fare, Mei Ume provides one of the most sophisticated dining experiences in the city. The restaurant expertly blends Chinese and Japanese disciplines, resulting in a menu that feels both innovative and deeply rooted in tradition.

While the savory courses were exceptional, the grand finale was stolen by the “Mei Miao” dessert. This dish is a masterclass in balance: a smooth, silky Matcha Mousse that melts on the tongue, paired with the delicate, floral sweetness of Lychee Cremeux. It was light, fragrant, and visually stunning—the perfect end to an evocative meal.

Ultra-Luxury Spa

To step into the Spa at Four Seasons Tower Bridge is to step into a different world. The design is breathtaking. The swimming pool is encased in elegant grey marble floors and walls, with the water itself shimmering against glass mosaic tiles.

I was particularly struck by the silver mosaic-clad columns that separate the main pool from the vitality pool. These pillars echo the grand Corinthian columns of the building’s exterior portico but are softened with delicate mosaic motifs of seaweed and coral. It feels like a Roman bathhouse reimagined for the 21st century.

Private Hammam Experience

If you truly want to detox, you must book the Private Hammam Experience. Located within the serene Hammam Suite, this is an iconic bath ritual that feels incredibly indulgent.

Lying on the heated marble plinth, I felt every ounce of London stress evaporate. The combination of heat, steam, and the traditional scrubbing ritual is, in my opinion, the finest way to unwind. It’s a unique wellness journey that feels world’s away from the busy streets of the City just outside the doors.

Afternoon Tea

For us Brits, Afternoon Tea isn’t just a meal; it’s a sacred tradition. It is the answer to every celebration. At the Rotunda Bar & Lounge, nestled under the hotel’s magnificent domed ceiling, I experienced Afternoon Tea London by Lily Vanilli.

Lily Vanilli is a legend in the London baking scene, known for her edgy, seasonal, and wildly creative treats. This collaboration offers a modern twist on the classic tea. While the finger sandwiches and scones remained appropriately regal, the pastries were tiny works of art that played with unexpected textures and flavors. It was the perfect balance of heritage and “New London” cool.

Ten Trinity Square, London’s finest Private Members Club,

One of the most unique aspects of staying here is the connection to Private Members Club. This is arguably London’s finest private club, and the atmosphere is thick with history and exclusivity.

I was fortunate enough to attend an event showcasing the Harmonie Collection from EuroCave. Seeing their new connected cellar technology was fascinating for any wine enthusiast. The evening was made even more perfect with a curated wine tasting featuring Château d’Esclans (the masters behind the world’s most coveted rosés). These kinds of rich cultural and lifestyle experiences are exactly what differentiate the Four Seasons from other five-star properties; it’s about access to a lifestyle, not just a room.

Stefano's Verdict

My verdict on celebrating British Summer at Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge Absolutely unparalleled! From the exquisite dinner at Mei Ume to the delightful Afternoon Tea, every culinary experience was truly amazing. The ultra-luxury spa, with its serene pool, rejuvenating sauna, steam room, and exclusive private hammam, offered pure bliss. Last but certainly not least, access to the prestigious Private Members Club elevated the entire stay. This hotel perfectly encapsulates the essence of a luxurious British summer, blending impeccable service with unforgettable experiences. A truly magnificent London escape!
