Stepping into Nobu Hotel London Portman Square was like entering another world. The sleek, minimalist design, with its focus on natural materials and soft lighting, created a sense of calm and serenity. The subtle Japanese influences, from the carefully curated artwork to the delicate scent of incense, added a touch of cultural richness. The attentive staff welcomed me with a warm smile and a refreshing cold towel, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay. The hotel exuded an air of understated luxury, promising a truly unique and memorable experience.

One Bedroom Suite Experience

My recent stay in the one-bedroom suite at Nobu London Portman Square was an unforgettable experience. The suite itself was a serene retreat, offering a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. The spacious living room, complete with a queen-sized sleeper sofa, provided ample space for relaxation and entertaining. The two private balconies offered stunning views of Portman Square and the surrounding cityscape, creating a sense of serenity and escape.

The interior design was simply exquisite, with a zen-inspired aesthetic that seamlessly blended natural materials, neutral colours, and muted wood tones. Calming décor and Japanese elements, such as ink-brush-inspired artwork and lantern-inspired lighting, created a tranquil atmosphere.

The luxurious Nobu Emperor bed, dressed in 400-thread-count cotton sheets, provided the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. Two beautifully appointed bathrooms, one with a walk-in rainfall shower and the other with a deep soaking bathtub, added to the overall sense of luxury and indulgence. The attention to detail was evident throughout the suite, from the plush bathrobes and slippers to the high-quality amenities.

Bento Box Lunch

Nobu Deluxe Bento Box experience was a culinary adventure that exceeded all expectations. Served within the iconic Nobu Restaurant at the Nobu Hotel London Portman Square, this exquisite bento box is a curated selection of Nobu’s signature dishes.

The presentation was as stunning as the flavours. Each dish was meticulously arranged, creating a visual masterpiece. The Grilled Beef Tenderloin Teriyaki was melt-in-your-mouth tender, while the Langoustine Tempura Ama Ponzu was a symphony of textures and tastes. The other dishes, including the sushi and sashimi, were equally impressive, showcasing the freshest ingredients and Nobu’s signature innovative techniques.

The bento box offered a perfect balance of flavours and textures, leaving me wanting more. The overall experience was a testament to Nobu’s commitment to culinary excellence.

Omakase Dinner Experience

Sunday Brunch

A lavish buffet sushi selection, followed by a meticulously crafted à la carte main course, culminated in a decadent dessert bar.

Sakura Afternoon Tea at the Lobby

My afternoon was filled with the spirit of Hanami, the Japanese tradition of appreciating cherry blossoms 🌸

The savory selection was a delight, featuring Nobu favorites like the Crispy Rice, a refined Smoked Salmon Nobu Club, and the fresh Black Cod Butter Lettuce. My personal favourite was the Smoked Salmon Nobu Club, perfectly paired with the Smoked Sakura Wood Tea 🌸

For a sweet finish, the Sudachi & Sakura Blossom Mousse was a true masterpiece, capturing the beauty and fleeting nature of Sakura. This dessert was complemented perfectly by the Sakura-inspired teas, particularly the Sakura Sencha Obubu, a fragrant Sencha green tea with notes of Sakura blossoms and almonds 🫖
