First Impression
To be honest I thought Five-Stars Hotels just offer luxury and infinity swimming pool these days, but this one is definitely unique for me! It’s my first time staying at 5 stars hotel with its vineyard just literally next door. The hotel style is minimalist, located in the Welsh countryside, just with two minutes drive from Junction 34 of the M4. It’s peaceful with huge outdoor area which is dog friendly, and I should say it is quite romantic for couples. If you are looking for a time to switch off, definitely a perfect place to relax with family and friends.

The Vineyard Tour & Tasting
One biggest reason why I love to stay here is their vineyard tour & tasting. It is very informal, informative and entertaining! It starts by walking around the vineyard, seeing the grapes with an expert sharing the story about each grapes.
After the expert bring us to indoor are where the wine tasting begin! I got sample three carried wines and just incredible!
The Room
Its 37 rooms have been designed and beautifully appointed, many with wonderful views across their grounds and the surrounding fields and hills. I was lucky to stay at their Superior King rooms, which have been carefully designed with stunning views across Welsh countryside. It’s a perfect space to unwind, luxury touch with countryside surrounding, I find it very comfy.
The Bathroom has over-bath rainfall shower, complete with The White Company products and fluffy bathrobes.
Food and Drinks
With 2 AA Rosette ? High quality, locally sourced food, it would be rude not to taste their creative menu. Andy Aston – Head Chef has earned an enviable reputation for his exceptional cooking. I should say their food are awesome!
Scallops & cod cheek, cured ham, pea veloutè, black pudding, pickled shallots
Sirloin steak 8oz. The beef is 30 day dry aged Welsh beef reared at Cefn Mawr farm, near Usk. Accompanied with field mushroom, plum tomato, mushroom ketchup.Peppercorn Sauce!
