First Impression

The Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski immediately impresses with a sense of grand history. Its location in the heart of Dresden’s old town, adjacent to the Dresden Castle, sets a tone of regal elegance. The building’s architecture, reflecting Saxon Baroque influences, is striking.
Upon entering, one encounters an atmosphere of refined luxury. The recent renovations have clearly blended historical charm with modern sophistication. Reviews highlight the high quality of the interior design, with attention to detail in the furnishings and decor. The overall impression is one of a luxurious and comfortable stay, steeped in history. The combination of the buildings historical significance, and the modern ammenities, create a very strong first impression.
Deluxe Suite Experience
The Deluxe Suite at the Taschenbergpalais was a masterclass in comfort and elegance. The separate living room provided a welcoming space to unwind, while the bedroom offered a peaceful retreat. The bathroom was the suite’s crowning glory: the oversized bathtub invited luxurious soaks, and the walk-in shower offered a refreshing alternative. The double sink added a touch of practical luxury, preventing any morning rush. The suite’s spacious layout and thoughtful design created a sense of privacy and tranquility, making it a truly exceptional and relaxing stay. Every detail contributed to an unforgettable experience.

Celebrate Culinary Excellence
My dining experience at Das Palais was truly exceptional. The Halibut, delicate and perfectly cooked, paired beautifully with the creamy bean sauce, fresh lamb’s lettuce, and the salty clams. The dill potatoes were a delightful, subtle touch. Equally impressive was the Surf & Turf. The local fillet of beef was tender and rich, complemented by the succulent prawn. The truffle potato gratin was a decadent treat, and the asparagus added a fresh, crisp element. The truffle jus tied everything together, creating a symphony of flavors. The elegant ambiance and impeccable service elevated the meal to a memorable culinary journey.

Amalie Pâtisserie & Lounge
L’art de la pâtisserie awaits you at Amalie Pâtisserie & Lounge, nestled within the elegant Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden. Inspired by the remarkable Amalie of Saxony, this hidden gem combines the art of patisserie with a modern twist, offering an experience that’s as indulgent as it is inspiring.
Step into a space where classic design meets regional flair, creating a harmonious backdrop for an afternoon tea like no other. Sink into cosy sofa, admire the ornate wallpaper, and let yourself be captivated by the exquisite selection of pastries and fine teas. From velvety Amalie Signature Chocolate Bar to delicate cheesecake with wine-infused blossoms, each bite and sip promises a taste of luxury and refinement.

INNOVATIVE COCKTAILS CULTURE AT BAR 1705
Bar 1705, a tribute to the Taschenbergpalais’s founding year, delivers an innovative cocktail culture experience. The atmosphere blends historical elegance with modern flair, creating a sophisticated yet relaxed ambiance. The mixologists showcase their creativity with unique concoctions, using premium spirits and fresh, seasonal ingredients.
My experience involved sampling several bespoke cocktails, each a testament to their expertise. The drinks were not only visually stunning but also expertly balanced, offering complex and intriguing flavor profiles. The bar’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of mixology while honoring its historical roots made for a truly memorable evening.

LUXURY SPA
Immerse yourself in pure luxury at the Spa at Kempinski Dresden. Take a serene dip in the tranquil pool, unwind on elegant loungers by the water, or rejuvenate your senses in various exquisite saunas. Your oasis of relaxation awaits.
The 5 x 11 m pool on floor 5 with a depth of 1.34 m is surrounded by a modern ambience and furniture. The pleasant water temperature is kept at 28°C (82.4°F) the whole year. A blue-tile mirror with the Taschenbergpalais logo is shown on the bottom of the pool, as one of the new design elements. Bright and precious lounge suites invite you to relax on the right and left of the pool.
The newly redesigned sauna area impresses with timeless and calming equipment and unique baroque design elements that reflect the Dresden cityscape. The two Finnish saunas inspire with special eye-catchers, such as a copper kettle for aroma infusions, an oversized clock by C.H. Wolf/Glashütte that is embedded in the ceiling of the sauna, or the famous mural “Fürstenzug”. The steam bath and the infrared cabin warm and relax the body in a healing way and round off the wellness offer.
