Stepping into Benares, the Michelin-starred restaurant perfectly nestled in Mayfair, was an instant sensory experience. The attentive staff welcomed us with a warm smile and promptly offered cloakroom service, setting the tone for an evening of impeccable service. Led upstairs to the main dining area, I was captivated by the sight of a serene water pond. The ambiance was sophisticated yet inviting, promising a memorable culinary journey.

BENARES TASTING MENU

Stefano's Verdict

The Tasting Menu at Benares was an absolute triumph. From the moment the first amuse-bouche arrived, it was clear that this was an extraordinary dining experience. The intricate flavorus of each dish, the impeccable presentation, and the attentive service all contributed to a truly memorable evening. The highlight was undoubtedly the Chicken and Winter Truffle Shorba. The Tandoori has a delicate balance of spices, textures, and aromas was simply divine. Benares is a testament to the artistry of Indian cuisine and a must-visit for any food enthusiast. The Michelin star is well-deserved for both Benares and Chef Sameer Taneja himself.
